this was my first time playing vs rocket in vancouver march 2025. i demonstrated the ability to rushdown and play defensively throughout the games, once i got the hang of mixing it up between both playstyles the set felt fairly comfortable to close.

having come up fighting uk jigglypuffs such as jamie and kingu i felt like there was the necessary education on my part to take out og kid going into the set. my strong use of crouch cancel allowed me to avoid most rest setups and trade down in the scrap.

coming off a strong 3-0 in the winners finals i did not expect jah ridin' to put up such a fight. i'd recommend paying attention to when i choose to end combos vs luigi and how advantage is pushed as a result.
